These young men/women actually fund these mission excursions themselves or their parents help do so, they don't receive a single dime. They've selflessly set aside 2 years of their personal life to share something true and dear to them and their families, perhaps set aside your pride for a bit and have a true listen to what they have to share and you may find some comfort in their message. I was actually a Mormon missionary not to long ago but had to return early due to my grandfather's passing away (First death of a loved one I've experienced in my life). I was crushed and confused and I was angry at God, the only thing that provided me even an ounce of comfort was the gospel of Jesus Christ. Fren, drop your pride, don't fight it and ask questions (they are there to answer them). Thank you.
