Honestly the moment that shifted my social standing drastically was a real win-lose
>4th grade
>just getting socially acclimated after coming to public school from private in 3rd
>new girl named Jasmine
>I always talk to the new kid
>show her the ropes
>help her meet her soon-to-be best friend, Erica
>shits silent for a month or so
>a month or so later
>minding my shit on play ground
>Erica walks up
>"Jasmine wants to talk to you"
I just want to remind you that this is elementary school politics so this was all much bigger at the time.
>I like Jasmine
>Jasmine asks me out
>say yes
>within 5 min she's asking me about timelines on first kisses and shit like that
>recess ends
>holds hands on the way to class
>she's already fucked shit up
>I break shit off in class
>she starts crying
>gets picked up early
>gone next day
>thanks to Erica, I am demonized by my whole class for a while
>Jasmine starts acting like a genuine whore to my nigga Yemi
>Yemi and I are cool and I did the 4th grade equivalent of passing a bitch off to him
>shit does not go right since mostly due to choices I made based off that brief experience
>5 years later
>I see Yemi around
>He says Jasmine has not 1, but 2 kids
>neither are his, she left the school after 4th grade, meanwhile I went to a newly founded Magnet school run by the district
>wew, we dodged a bullet, huh?
I don't know why, but I feel like bitching out on that one situation fucked my social life from there on out. I didn't become some social outcast. But I don't talk to anyone from high-school and most of my relationships are booty calls with random """"traps"""". Some of which I wish would stop trying to call.
