For months I had been reminding him to keep clear when he's loading plates on the waterjet cutter, but he would do it anyway. So I gave up on reminding him several weeks ago, and last Friday, huge surprise, he drops the plate, it bounces up and then lands on his foot (So I suppose with a four foot-drop counted the impact velocity must have been pretty powerful). And of course he never wears steel toes.
Lots of screaming, yelling, has to be driven to the emergency room. Everyone else in the shop is pissed at him now because our insurance rates are going to go up because of his dumb ass. And he's still in the hospital, getting surgery done on his foot.
