What is the reason that we are not trying to make technological improvements? Is it because the powers that be made a game theoretical framework which relied on the axiom of no further discovery, and then used that false assumption to justify a course of action that they now, in light of the disproof of their stupid assumption (we didn't figure it out so it will never get figured out) don't want to be held accountable for the course of action that chose?
