>>7475720This. Plastic paddies are born out of a deep desire to belong to a people, something American white males have taken from them every day growing up. We are told all of our lives that thinking of ourselves as a distinct and unique culture is bad, that the people we are is racist and evil, or that whites have no cultures. What's left for us look to as an undisputable and clearly defined culture? Our ancestors. And how does every other ethnicity in America define itself? The same way, their ancestors. The difference is, their cultural identity is allowed to grow and become American in itself. Ours is hidden while it is extinguished. Pic related is a great example, in both what's said, and what's not. Reading between the lines, there is no American identity here, it has been stripped and boiled down to simply whiteness.
I was a plastic paddy for a few months when I was younger, and these are the reasons I see for it when I think back about it all these years later. Lacking a cultural identity is a problem with whites mainly in the US. The left does the same thing (see Warren)...it is a symptom of the loss of our cultural identity. Shaming their attempts to find it again instead of explaining what's missing only makes things worse.
