They might not be able to invade Skyrim under normal circumstances, but if they do it directly after the civil war ends then Skyrim will still be broken over the fact that half of its population didn't actually want the stormcloaks to win, plus lots of stormcloaks would have died in the war and the Thalmor have had TONS of time to prepare.
>>7529097Considering that the Thalmor, if you win as stormcloaks, will reinstate the empire when they inevitably overthrow Skyrim again, it really doesn't matter which option you pick. Picking the imperials is just a cleaner option, even if they are fucking awful.
