try to go to a place with people who have similar interests to yours like a video game convention if you like video games or a dungeons and dragons place or something and talk to people, if you find a person you like then you can ask them to hang out again later and you eventually become friends.
or you could also talk to people on the internet more regularly rather than different people on /bant/ every day by finding someone in a game and friending them on steam or discord or whatever
