>>7582096Well we do know that the Phoenicians were by far the best sailors and there are many stories of them grounding thier boats rather than give up their tin sources, when being followed by Greeks. Of course it's ancient history so who really knows.
Troy was myth forever as well, so the story of Brutus and England was always considered myth as well. Maybe it wasn't.
British Kings certainly went out of there way to protect Glastonbury and the idea that Joseph of Arimathea and Jesus once walked your land.
And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon Englands mountains green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On Englands pleasant pastures seen!
And did the Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my Bow of burning gold;
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold!
Bring me my Chariot of fire!
I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green & pleasant Land.
