Not a single European Country does that.
When I first learned of that I was quite frankly just in disbelief. As someone never exposed to that it's just weird. And the American brand of patriotism that often is blindly following off a cliff is just creepy to most Europeans.
My problem is that I see no reason doing it and that it's one of the things that leads to blind patriotism in a lot of people. Just goes along with the America is the greatest country in the world at everything and just didn't sit quite right with me.
