The flatter is oddly more unlikely than the former, you've gained consciousness once possibly more times than that, point being, it's possible no matter the odds when applied to "forever"
how you regain consciousness may be in the exact way you've already had it, same parents, with all possible life outcomes possible. or depending on what your consciousness really is, that may change.
Anyway, you'll never perceive the time between none existence, so whatever happens, it'll feel like it's always been happening.
