Main reason they have abandoned isolationism and 'America First' was Pearl Harbor. And declaration war on US by Germany was dumb as hell and super pointless. because at this point there was NO WAY to win it- they had no means to reach US mainland.
And about Soviets- they lost like... 1 million soldiers trying to break into Moscow? Eastern front line was so fucking long it wasn't sustainable in any way. They thought Russia will fall in like 1,5 month.
Let's say Soviet Red Army woud attack. Being in defensive, with smaller front line, on land with better infrastructure (Czechia, Poland) than Belarussian and Russian forests, marshes and country roads...
They only had to secure British channel and Atlantic to cut off Anglos and move all armies to to east to dig in hard as fuck.
