>>7747619>"Space is being turned into a battlefront, making counter-space capabilities critical. In this light, India's successful 'kill' with an ASAT weapon is significant."This idea seriously has to die. Space battle will only ruin it for everyone. The shrapnel dosent just magically go away. Every time you blow up a satellite you create shrapnel , and that shrapnel collides with other satellites in low earth orbit , which creates more shrapnel. Leading to a positive feedback loop. Meaning that if there is too much shrapnel in low earth orbit , you won't be able to put satellites up there anymore. And even worse , you won't be able to launch rockets because they would get fucked by shrapnel.
