During the Purge, how do we identify NPCs?
Simple. NPCs all share one trait:
They hate reading fiction
Fiction makes them irritated, annoyed. It chews on their inner mechanical turk and causes them stress.
Fiction.
Fiction requires an inner voice, imagination, metaphor, simile, idiomatic thought. Intelligence.
Fiction.
They will shout and scream that fiction isn't as good as non-fiction, because they have no culture, no future, and no empathy.
If you can't abide Fiction, congratulations, you're an NPC.
