as an expat for more than 20 years i’ve just been sent a temporary residence permit should brexit go through (i did not request one, it’s proactively sent by the dutch govt) still have my british bassport you see, so should brexit happen they are going to try and make me purchase a permanent residence permit, which is the cost of about a weeks worth of family shopping. i washed my hands of the UK over twenty years ago, didn’t choose where i was born, either, yet here’s bureaucracy’s ugly head once again trying to claw money from a citizen only on paper.
btw the only dutch person i like is my wife the rest are kankermoeders and deserve to go to hell.
