It's actually a real problem. Most people drink cokes for every meal and inbetween (and I mean literally every meal and inbetween, at least the kids) and water just doesn't "taste good" to people brought up on that sugar tar.

I basically sit still at my PC all day long with no movement but still I feel immense thirst every 1-1,5 hours and go sip a full cup of weak tea (which is mostly water).

i doubt that you're still hydrated. a cup of water ever hour and a half isnt enough. and going back, im sure you know lots of americans drink lots of coke and the like. that quenches thirst but its not a hydrating drink. forcing yourself to drink a gallon is a way to hydrate yourself not quench thirst.
