So I had endocarditis. I've survived the acute illness because I was given lots and lots of powerful antibiotics in the ICU. However I require 2 surgeries now. One to remove bacterial "vegetation" which is just scum on my heart valves which can break off at any moment and kill me, or turn me into a drooling radish. Then a more expensive surgery to possibly repair my valves. I'm dead hastily without.
