Nexus also the last one of the series, so far I know. It is a meshup of all games of the series, but more difficult for new players. V has the best class balance, you can pick up a team of any class combination without looking for the one who is obligatory the best and still can get to end with the same time spend on grinding.
I can't say much about the older ones, but EO is/was an evolving series, the newer games are tend to be better than the older entries.
