I think modern building codes for fixed roof access if there's anything that requires regular service, need to be enforced on the whole country. All these old shitty buildings with air conditioners on their dangerous roofs and no ladder are grandfathered in and can stay fucked up forever. They expect me to set a ladder against their 2 story roof, then bitch if it fucks up their rain gutters even though its the only way to the roof.
