It's a matter of how people are raised in my opinion, both helicopter parents and parents who never put their foot down in wake of if their kids bullshit have let to this problem, also before the sexual revolution attractive people were still expected not to act like whores and were socially shamed or worse when they failed that simple task. Though I'm a bit unironically autistic so dunno if that has anything to do with my development.
