i've lived in 4: ottawa (born there), toronto, st. john's and now i'm in halifax. st. john's was big but not too big, pretty cozy, the people can be "skeets" sometimes but the rest of them are great and contrary to the meme they push so hard the winters were mild by canadian standards so i'll go with st. john's. also it was the prettiest. halifax is very similar but a bit too americanized desu, they push the cozy maritimer trope so much it just seems artificial.
