>>8036029Tales of Symphonia, Dragon Quest 11, Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Mother 3, and Ni no Kuni are my favourites. Ni no Kuni is a weird pick, I know, but in my eyes it's a deeply flawed game but an extremely enjoyable journey nonetheless. Wish they'd make a proper sequel.
My absolute favourite is without a douvt DQ11. It nails everything I love about old-school JRPGs and then elevates it even further. One of the few 100+ hour JRPGs I've completed more than three times. And I still play it just to chill. It's so fucking good. I could gush about this game all day.
