"Step one: We fortify the inside of the ship, outwards from where we're protecting the citizens, in a tiered line of defences towards any and all entrances. Soldiers and engineers, grab anything made out of metal that isn't bolted down and move it up to the entrances. Weld them in place to create barricades in the corridors. Once the first ones are set up, fall back further into the ship and set up another one. Try to get at least three set up as you head inward, towards the civilian's area.
