Took about 110 hours, faffing about in the casino included. It's a fun game to just hang out in. I like how it doesn't ever punish you for grinding like some JRPGs tend to do. Story is full of JRPG tropes, but it's Dragon Quest after all, and it manages to stay very endearing while embracing its legacy.

Yeah, I think a retelling of the first three DQ games in manga form would be cool. Or just the third. Could include a lot of details introduced in DQ11 also.

If I remember right I stopped during that "third story runthrough" at the true hero dungeon challenge or something a while back, it didn't click with me anymore.
Welp I should after finishing some other games come back to it and grind fast through the game to actually finish it heh
