I was riding Greyhound across country years ago when I was 18. A young girl about 10 fell asleep next to me and her head was on my shoulder and she drooled on it while sleeping. I didn't wake her up because it was a long bus ride.

I got a special feeling then I fell asleep too. When I woke up we were in Omaha at 2 AM and she was still sleeping. She got off the bus in Cheyenne and I never saw her again.

I think about her sometimes after all these years. She would be college age or a little older by now.
