does anyone else think the whole flat earth movement really says a lot about our society and has some horrifying implications ?
I know a lot of them are merely pretending to be retarded by there are a lot of them who are dead fucking serious and the idea that someone could be trapped in an echochamber and clouded by confirmation bias while unable to change their mind on pre-concived beliefs and become so deluded that they convince themselves of something so clearly fucking wrong while ignoring all evidence to the contrary is so spooky because that exactly what they think "globeheads" are doing.
People with batshit fringe beliefs are convinced that their worldview is based on reason and empirical evidence an peer reviewed studies just like everyone else.
basically that fact that some people think that the earth is flat and everyone is being deceived by a massive conspiracy alone is proof that it could be true.
how can you trust anyone let alone yourself?
