>>8106267I am definitely paraphrasing a whole lot, but I grew up reading Nietzsche, so I think I have a fairly solid grasp of his ideals. A large part of his book "beyond good and evil" is about discarding societal values, so you can truly search for your own. His work "thus spoke zarathustra" is about a man doing this, and sharing his own values with the world as if he were a prophet.

It takes a lot of strength and passion to isolate yourself to that extent, and actually carve out new values that force yourself to grow, rather than create values that justify your current actions.
