If Trump really is serious about doing this, then he's serious about solving the border problem.
The one thing I'm worried about is this causing a recession come 2020.
A recession is almost inevitable with the bond inversions happening all over the place, but this might really expedite things.
If there's a recession, I don't think he wins it.
What do you all think?

Then again its way better then giving foreign aid (bribery) in the hopes that will stem it as some politicians wish to do.

Stopping immigration would just require changes in domestic laws so it would no longer be profitable for the would be invaders.
So long as they can continue to be coddled by the law, assisted legally by domestic NGO's (usually with government approval and complicity) and find work/housing/access to public services/birthright laws) they will continue to come.
Make that stuff illegal and device a public system of transportation assistance offering free bus-rides and plane tickets otherwise and that will be that.

The people in charge don't want to stop it though so it won't.
Mexico cracking down might stop the recent excesses but it doesn't actually make much of a difference when it comes to the core of the problem, millions will still come each year.
