Actually, much of your post is similar, but kind of in reverse. Well, not actually in reverse, but just kind of sporadic.

I feel you though, bro. I sympathize. I think this is a rather common trope of life, though, the older brother being overshadowed by his younger. You just seemed to be dealt that particular unlucky hand. But what I would say is try to get closer to your brother. Odds are he still looks up to you, despite his overshadowing accomplishments. Even if you're not as good as he is in a lot of things, there still exists an innate but brotherly respect, and he probably feels it but just doesn't want to say anything about it for some reason or another.
If anything, the only advice I could give you is to just try and spend more time with him and get closer. No matter what, he's still your brother. It's a very special kind of bond not easily cast off.
