Hah, in Canada, our CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) follows your NEC pretty closely. Those connectors were made mandatory for residential fluorescent fixtures so that homeowners would stop accidentally getting pulsed with ~300V when they needed to change a ballast.

Solar is EASY. Never cared about heights and theres a good amount of perks. I liked being with the guys on install but it's too rushed and too much roof time. I also really love to be alone

Service is the place to be. It's almost like working for yourself but more steady and more driving. Every now and then I have to fix a circuit or find a ground fault but the majority of the time is replacing the inverters or meme boxes on the roof. I can say with certainty that as much as I may bitch about it I like it. The install teams get worked like literal slaves though

What's your scope of work then, if you're not having to put in roof time? Regularity bodies here are scrambling to implement code to keep up with the changes in solar industry. Right now, there are too many installers that have no training or accreditation.

Gotcha. I work in maintenance and it's a pretty good gig, aside from having to figure out what has been done by scabby sub-contractors. Took 120V across the chest a few months ago because of them.
