Stop and think about it.
Think of all the other times in 4chan's history when something was flooded ad naseum all over the site and how it was handled:
- DESU: This took the form of picture combos on /b/ and the word "DESU" being spammed everywhere.
Action Taken: "DESU" was wordfiltered to "LULZ" for a short time. Multiple DESU ASCII arts were filtered. /b/ had its post timer lengthened to stop DESU combos.
End Result: The DESU meme is dead.
- Doubles Guy: This took the form of Patrick Bateman pointing to a post number. This was highly popular on lots of boards (strangely, most popular on /a/, even more than /b/, for a time).
Action Taken: Post numbers were hidden on /b/ and /v/ with heavy moderation implemented on /a/. It worked on /a/, but not on /b/ or /v/, so they then implemented removing non-0 consecutives altogether. To this day, this is still in effect on /v/, /vg/, and /vr/.
End Result: The Doubles Guy meme is dead.
- My Little Pony: This took the form of pony threads on /b/.
Action Taken: MLP was quarantined to its own board on /mlp/. Also, an "anti-Barney" meme image became the second most reposted image in 4chan's history (behind the standard Pepe image). To this day, MLP is only allowed on /mlp/ and /trash/.
End Result: Ponies are quarantined to /mlp/ and /trash/. There is no longer any resistance.
- Pepe the frog: This took the form of "feelsbadman" and "feelsgoodman" in the late 2000s. It then evolved into peepeepoopoo, rare Pepes, Kek, etc.
Action Taken: None. At all. On the contrary, this frog has been PROMOTED on several occasions.
End Result: Pepe is a site-wide meme. It is on every single board. Its threads are never deleted unless attacking the 4chan staff itself.
Conclusion: Frogposting is deliberately allowed on 4chan.
The question is...why?
What is the endgame to all of this frogposting?
