All of the modding community is done with out monetary incentive, heck lots of content on the web is just done by people making no money from it whatsoever
And this is with in a system where if you dont make money youll be homeless and youll starve, imagine what people would be free to do if they didnt have to slave away 40 hours a week to make some rich guy even richer
