I know this is an unpopular opinion nowadays, but does anyone else think that the whole "rescue dog" push is bad for the vast majority of people? Most families especially would be much safer with a newborn or even better, a dog already professionally trained. The fact is that an abused dog or a dog that has gotten into fights is a horrible choice unless you know what you're doing, and the vast majority of people don't know how to properly train their dogs. I know those sad puppy commercials on TV target will make women want to adopt a rescue, but the truth is they shouldn't. This might sound inhumane but in most cases rescue dogs should just be put down. They might look friendly but eventually they might snap, dogs are not humans and most people, ESPECIALLY WOMEN, do not understand this.
