Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying take the nu-johnnyposter route and make threads telling the whole board to ignore him, as that's an entirely new thread that further validates his presence on the board.
No, /bant/ is a very tight-knit community despite all of our differences. We were pretty good about ignoring cancerous stuff like this for a time, but obviously not anymore.
This is just my personal opinion, but I feel like people have grown so bored here that they'll take anything thrown their way to spice things up. I hate to be that "ebin bant oldfig xdddd" but interesting threads that divert anons' attention away from partaking in petty drama is a good way to go here.
Any thread can be interesting to someone but they have to be incentivized to participate. Race war and risk obviously appeals to a niche here, as does the cancer games threads and occasional ms paint thread. Anime discussion appeals to, well, weebfags of course.
I don't know exactly what people want and I don't want to dictate what people post, I'm just tossing out my own personal opinion on how this could be handled in the best way possible. We can't get the entire board to ignore him, that will never happen, but we can divert their attention in ways that will also increase the amount of fun that everyone has here.
