>>8435636>I think a backlog series would make for a nice change of pace. That way we could comment and critique something new together rather than one of us knowing where the twists and best jokes are beforehand.okay I was thinking the same thing
>>8435636>I feel like it's more in your taste with less drawn out exposition.Really my grip was with pacing and just you have can have the same amount of exposition in an episode, but if you lump it all together in a scene its a lot worse than if you do a little bit of exposition (different scene, possibly to illustrate and reinforce the exposition) then do a little bit more exposition.
And also just a problem I have with anime in general that, lets just say it was a battle shonen
>MC is going to use "That technique" >The Bone crusher>MC thinking "I'm going to use the Bone Crusher technique. It does just as much damage to me as it does my opponent">side characters "MC LOOKS LIKE HE'S GONNA USE THE BONE CRUSHER TECHNIQUE!">Enemy "W-WHAT'S THIS? THE BONE CRUSHER TECHNIQUE?!">MC uses the technique >second side character "WHATS THE BONE CRUSHER TECHNIQUE?!">Side character "You see, The bone crusher technique is a forbidden technique that hurts the user's skeleton just as much as his opponents" >complete with diagrams and arrows and shitMeanwhile
you could have just silently used the fucking technique that we already learned about 3 episodes ago, Trust that your audience remembered the shit the first time. And just showed it, rather than tell it.
The most is maybe a side character, after the battle, could confirm the suspicions of the audience and say "That was brash of you to have used the bone crusher technique in that fight"
And just leave it at that.
