I've just realized that 4chan is free. there are still jannies but for the most part they can be avoided without sacrificing that essential freedom, where as reddit is a perpetual dance on eggshells where I can't go back because I can't stomach the feeling of being boxed in by the feelings of others. it feels claustrophobic, and that feeling of being trapped has removed all the fun from it.
