Where there are certain things you want to do in your life.
But you cannot easily do them so you substitute lesser interests.
And time passes and you allow these secondary interests to dominate your life.
And as even more time passes you have repeated this cycle two or even three times when one interest becomes difficult and you find something to fill the void.
And then some several years down the line you feel empty, and you want to quit doing these things that you know were never really what you -really- wanted to be doing with your life.

But then you are sitting there, trying to think back to what it was you really, originally cared about. And how long ago it was. And you realize you don't even know at this point. And you very unironically find yourself asking "who am I?"
