Putting together a meal or buying pre-prepped from the grocery store costs 3-5 euros
Renting an appartment can range from 300 to 600 depending on quality and location
Our universities are normally well-equipped to point you towards a few cheap cost-of-living methods, they are the first place you should be asking

lol @ you having time to take vacation trips during your studies
metros not really, trains in almost every city, if you want to cross country borders you usually just have to transfer between multiple trains

my uni gives courses in english but I don't know if every uni does that
