I don't know the difference.i will gladly explain! its really complicated but basically one of the big reasons for the split between roman catholicism and eastern orthodoxy comes down to culture and especially because the west roman empire spoke latin, and the east spoke greek. so mistranslation also tore rifts between the christians of the east and christians of the west.
the greeks are nowadays orthodox and so are the slavs because church slavonic (what would eventually evolve to the modern slavic languages) was made by greek linguists to spread christianity.
the rest of us in the west became catholics and took our written language from latin, hence i'm writing using the latin alphabet wright now.
