How do you sort your threads in catalogue - by bump order or by last reply?
Threads stay afloat as long as they are bumped, otherwise they slowly get lost in never threads, thus ending their journey on page 10th.

Laura might be visiting page 9 or 10 by choosing the option in pic related, or Laura is in Catalog view, and the posts closer to the bottom are closer to being bumped off. Laura visits these threads and bumps them, giving them one last chance at life.

She puts "sage" in options field so it doesn't bump to the first page.
But if you use the catalog and sort it by "last reply" then you will have a chance to save that thread because Laura has specifically bumped it for you. But you don't have much time.
