I didn't make a post before but I woke up at two in the morning tonight to some commotion and it turned out there was a rat in my parents' bedroom. I went out and called the cats but in the end, my dad ended it with a metal pole because the white cat ran after it once and then it got scared from all the noise or something and wanted to be let out (at which point he went upstairs to get something to eat), while the gray cat went into hunter mode but couldn't get the rat since it was hiding under a cupboard.
Apparently the disgusting creature came inside through the KITCHEN WINDOW. Absolutely nauseating, I couldn't fall asleep for an hour after that. It was massive, too. I hope that was the source of the noises that had been coming from the attic the last two weeks or so.
