So my theory is basically this: People who are furries aren't necessarily attracted to animals, but are attracted to a stylized version of humans, which is what anthro furries are. For all intents and purposes, furries are just human beings but with fur and some mild animal characteristics (disregarding feral)
So I'm thinking that the appeal of furries may also be the "exotic" factor. I don't think I need to explain how "exotic" or "taboo" can be sexy because everyone thinks those two things are sexy. Why? Who knows!
It's just obvious that furries are exotic and taboo. Add to that the fact that they are drawn with the proportions of an attractive adult human PLUS the features of an adorable animal, you have the perfect storm of dopamine rushes.
