God, isn't ASL just the most useless fucking thing ever? I live in a populated Chicago suburb and I have not met a single deaf/hearing impaired person that only used ASL. most of these people can read lips or have hearing aids, making it literally useless to learn ASL. It seems to be a fad among edgy teenage girls and virtue signaling cucks who want everyone to see their inclusiveness.
