>>8709115Having a gun is a privilege (not a right) in Finland.
That said, it's relatively easy for a Finnish citizen to have a long gun, say a hunting rifle or a shotgun.
Getting a sporting handgun in a military grade caliber is a bit harder, however if you want to have one legally in your possession it's absolutely possible.
Suppressors for both long rifles and handguns are over-the-counter items here in Finland. In fact, quite a lot of shooting ranges (in particular in the cities) demand you to have a suppressor attached. We like to shoot, and while at it we don't like to bother our neighbors.
My only gun without a suppressor is my Beretta 686.
>one smooth shottyMy "deer" rifle is a Sako L579 heavy barrel in .243 Win, with a Meopta Meostar R2 1,7-10x42 RD 4C, with my local gunsmith fitted Ase-Utra SL5i can.
My range sporting rifle is a Sako/Valmet RK-92S, open sights only, non-folding stock.
I have a Tangfoglio LHC pistol in 9mm, quite honestly I would prefer my RK92S over any pistol
(I was through and through trained on how to use and care RK assault rifles in all weather during my conscription)
