When I was a kid, I remember asking my mom where we go when we die. She just smiled and said “nowhere sweetie, our bodies decay and we are reduced back to atoms.” I remember asking when I was 5, if she thinks it is sad that we have to stop living, and she replied something like, “don’t feel sad, it happens to all living things. Do you feel sad that there was a time before you were born? Death is just a return to nothing. You can’t be afraid of nothing, now can you?” She was from the Soviet Union. Apparently that’s how they explained fro her as a kid… thanks I guess, mom (=_=)
