I know an American-Israeli family from NYC who is forced to eat off the vegetarian menu in restaurants because their meat it not kosher. A more religious person wouldn't eat in those restaurants to begin with.

Your kids would probably benefit from nepotism if you work your networking hard, since you'll start as an outsider to any community you'll join. Your jewife might help you get started, though, if she's not a NEET.
