Modern society is to blame for there being so many people who don't deserve to live. Most people in the West used to harden as they grow on their own, like anywhere else. Now without effort you can remain indefinitely infantile due to our decadence. There were always outliers that became like this throughout history, but now the general masses have succumbed to this condition. There is no longer a rite of passage into adulthood, you can be sheltered and live comfortably. This is de-evolution. Everyone has a dandy-ol time being a degenerate well into their 50s. Constant entertainment, pre-cooked meals and pornography have robbed us of our man-hood.

Realize that to live is to struggle. Really internalize this truth in your being and actions and when possible spread it to others that you care about. In the end the Natural Order will always prevail. Nature is inherently fascist. The modern world is a world that goes completely against nature and the results are telling. It's tearing itself apart. Nevertheless, you, as an individual, can always choose to go against the flow and struggle and persevere while the rest of society rots and withers away. It's not an easy path, but you go on because you know that you are in the right and that in the end you will be vindicated.

The modern world is so self-destructive, half the battle is just weathering the storm until the whole edifice has degenerated so much that we can rise and deal the final blow. Live to live your life correctly and that will bring happiness to yourself and those around you.

While you don't have to go 110% /innawoods/ right now, it's always good to be in a state of relative independence, and in a small closely knit community. It is such values and societal composition that will survive a collapse and reclaim what is left once the dust has settled. While I do use my computer like now, I try not to make it part of who I am. We are constantly stimulated by technology. This is unnatural since we used to be able to just sit for hours and reflect, now we get anxious if there is no internet connection. To be able to relax and just think is a form of "meditation" I suppose, but it’s nice to do it. I have a garden I go sit in during the late afternoon and just gaze out on the nearby mountains. I don't think about anything in particular, I let my mind wander. Really healthy and fulfilling.

The only "good" things it has brought are directly or indirectly related with making life painstakingly easy and almost meaningless or just increasing world population to insane levels. Your consciousness is the only thing verifiable in the entirety of Existence, since a consciousness not recognizing itself is a paradox. It's Descartes' cogito, and it's the basis for absolutely everything, and I say EVERYTHING, philosophical and scientific that can follow.

Then we have Parmenide's Existential paradox. If a thing ''is'', it cannot ''not'' be, for then we'd have no basis whatsoever to even contemplate it. Furthermore, saying that something came out from nothing and will go back to nothing is equally illogical, since nothing is logically impossible. So we have to assume that everything always was, and always will be, albeit not in the same form.

So what happens then? What happens is that your consciousness, your capacity to synthesize and accumulate information, or what is commonly known as the soul, whether it was inside your body or completely separate (the question is utterly irrelevant here) always was, and always will be, logically, which leads us to believe that there was a Before as well as there will be an after for every verified consciousness (i.e. you as a the observer and synthesizer of this text), there is an afterlife, and there was a before-life.

I'm really getting bored of those pseudo-sophisticate ultra-materialists that seem to be everywhere these days. The vehemence with which many of those people defend the idea that they're ultimately nothing, completely irrelevant and futile, makes me think that there's more to it than just pure calculation and cold logic on their part, as most of them claim. People don't get so worked up over things just because they think they're true. Most aren't nearly that noble. They have some sort of emotional stake in the game.

It all depends on how much addicted you are and how much your brain is fucked… I am guessing a lot (as most of men nowadays are)...

a) Do cold showers
b) Lift heavy weights
c) occupy your mind with whatever (it does not really matter that much in first stages... just get your mind off porn when urges strike. Go running outside, do some gardening, don’t stay alone if urges become too intense. I also suggest to limit overall PC/internet time)

1) There will be urges. They will come in different waves, sometimes weaker, sometimes really strong and unexpected

2) There will be flatline. You will have limp dick and 0 libido. It lasts for 3 - 4 days, sometimes a week and its coming back in cycles. DO NOT FREAK OUT, do not watch porn to comfort yourself, it’s all part of healing process. Sometimes your semen may leak a bit when you are peeing (taking a shit). Wet dreams may also occur (not as common).

3) There will be emotional changes and instabilities. You can feel submissive, depressed, sensitive, cheerful, sad, angry, lonely, dominant, happy etc. It can change very quickly and you need to stick to your guts and live it through as it is also part of the healing process.

it depends on what skilltree you want to advance first. There are many paths you can take. Personally I love to gather information, so reading more, reading anything is always stimulating. For others, it's taking more time to be at peace in nature and reminding yourself to meditate and exist in the present. For people who do drugs (including and especially smoking weed), priority #1 is to quit those habits because they cloud your mind so much without you even realizing it. I was a big drug degenerate and quitting all that shit was a huge step in the right direction. Improved my relationships with people around me tenfold.

I did my first garden this year. It was very fun. I had tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, collards and watermelon. I didn’t buy veg from the store for months. The garden was 4’x8’ in the back yard. It gave me alittle extra something to do when I was board and now I have bigger plans for next year.
Working out I took a dif approach. I don’t have a lot of time during the week. Ion Saturdays I do heavy lift at a gyms- whole body ( squat, ohp, row, bench, deadlift ) lots of protein after. Mon-fri I do body weight nigh rep before of after work ( push up, pull up, sit up and run 1 mile). My body looks hard and cut. I quit porn and my relationship with my gf is much better. I eat meat and veg 80% of the time. Whiskey and some local pipe tobacco at night ( not to much). No tv, books or practice mandolin. I got a German Shepard pup and training has been a joy. I’m the weekend I meet up with friend and watch sports. I’m getting married in a few weeks too.
It takes effort but you can make your self who you want to be.
I still haven’t gotten around to the cold shower yet.

I'm gradually building positive habits into my daily life, like lifting, motorcycling, and cooking. I've also, in a general sense, gotten much more resistant to my own negativity: a bad mood might arise, but it won't derail me like it used to.

However, I'm very lonely, and very uncertain about my calling in life. I live in a liberal city and have a creative-type degree, but travel out of state to work a skilled labor job with a bunch of country guys. I feel like I'm torn between two worlds, and I don't know to which I belong.

I think things will work out, but in the meantime it's so fucking frustrating and draining to not know where I'm headed. And, like I mentioned, to be really lonely. All I can do is maintain discipline and keep improving myself so that I can be ready when things start making sense.

I hope you guys are learning, working, building, and exploring as much as you can. I hope in the future we all find ways to thrive.

Did muay thai today (kick boxing + knees, elbows, sweeps).

During pads, my partner, who is more experienced, had me doing kicks and I think he was pretty impressed. I was putting my all into them. Sometimes I can feel my shin sink into the heavy bag right before it rebounds.

I've started the boxing class as well because my foot work needs to be, well, existent.

I've been finding my way since 2015.
It started with one of those fitness apps for karate, Bruce Lee's 'Tao of Jeet Kun Do', Musashi's 'Book of 5 rings', and Sun Tzu's 'Art of War'. I then took a krav maga/kempo karate class at my college. That was cool. Dropped out. Took private boxing lessons from a local amatuer in exchange for being a sentient punching bag. Later took some Taekwondo classes at my local community college, quit because McDojo and eventually found myself at a small MMA gym learning M.T, B.J.J, Olympic wrestling and Kickboxing. I attended for 4 months before the owner jumped ship and moved out of country with no prior notice. No smokers, no competition, never got the chance.
Here I am now, showing others what little I think I know.
Maybe I can join the military and learn some of their stuff. Who knows.
