There is a guy in Siberia, who wanted to leave Russia: tried crossing border illegally, but got caught, then he built a raft, but also got caught and put into psychiatric asylum, because the desire to leave Russia is a mental disorder. When he was treated with heavy medications and released out of nuthouse, he took an axe and killed a government official in revenge.

I think that was self defense: he haven't harmed anyone, just wanted to go away, but Russia took him hostage, so it is okay to kill in self defense the scum standing between you and your freedom. I hope if he ever gets out of prison, he could kill more Russians.
