Realistically if you really don't wanna drive you could just tell them that and give it back to them. You shouldn't be obligated to learn if you actually don't wanna. Riding a bike is healthier. On the other hand, being able to drive is a very useful skill in the modern age, a lot of employers won't hire you if you don't drive. Learning to do would probably be the smart thing to do tbdesu.

From what I've observed in another person in a similar situation, he tends to bottle up his emotions. Suppressing what you feel is never a good idea, emotions are like a river. If you let them flow through you'll be fine, but if you try to stop them by building a dam, eventually the dam will break in an outburst.
