Why learn Latin?
It gives you first hand access to a continuous literary tradition of over 2500 years. It is the ground upon which our language and philosophy is built upon. To truly understand English, too, it is necessary to have an understanding of basic latin. Words like "culture, experience, perfection, beauty" all come from Latin, and they have precise meanings that are lost to those that cannot decipher Latin.
