I'm not talking about slavery, I'm talking about parents and grandparents that care. That put their children in advantageous positions to associate with good people. Who would encourage a good match, and discourage a bad one.
We are very far from this. I think I would tell young men to look to the daughters of the men they admire and respect the most. If these men are married, and have children, and by all accounts good people with good families, you would be very lucky to marry their daughter.
Conversely, young ladies, ask the men who love and protect you if they admire and respect anyone in particular. Find men who truly want a wife and family, and who are working hard toward their goals.
To everyone, a potential mate should have parents who are married to each other, and grandparents who are/were married to each other.
Guys, if you run into a woman who hates her dad, and loves her mom (who hates her dad), say "pardon me", and keep on running.
Ladies, if a guy is "playing", he is not a man, and may never be... but it doesn't matter, because he's not what you're looking for. Find a man who is working hard at positioning himself to provide for his family.
